Dr. Channon has over 30 years of clinical experience in a busy comprehensive ophthalmology practice, where he performs medical and surgical care of the eyes. His emphasis is on anterior segment ophthalmology, which includes cataract and lens implantation, use of premium lenses and use of femtosecond laser for cataract surgery. The broader clinical experience includes glaucoma, ocular surface disease, and medical retina (intravitreal injections, laser, diabetic and macular care). Previously, Dr. Channon also provided refractive surgery (Lasik).

Dr. Channon has participated in many depositions, (deposed by both plaintiff and defendant counsel) and provided over 150 disability reviews. These have been in civil as well as malpractice cases.

Dr. Channon is a Mosby Scholar graduate of New York Medical College where he was part of the AOA National Medical Honor Society. He is board certified by the America Academy of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Channon has been a partner with St. Lucie Eye Associates since 1981 and as conducted over 10,000 ocular surgical and laser procedures. He is also a practicing partner and board member of One Day Surgery, an Envision Health operated surgery center.
